The Trails- Cycling & Walking
The year round sun and climate are the perfect combination for cycling and walking in the Algarve, with a wide variety of trails to choose from you’ll find the best one for you. The Algarve routes are Eurovelo 1 – Rota da Costa Atlântica, Rota Vicentina, Via Algarviana, Grande Rota do Guadiana & Percursos de Ciclismo de Estrada. The routes can vary in degree of difficulty, so be sure to find out which ones suit you.

Ria Formosa Natural Park
Officially established in 1987 the Ria Formosa Natural Park extends 60km along the Algarve coast with a wide variety of ecosystems playing host to a range of animal life, including many bird species. There are three 1 hour nature trails you can follow, including the Quinta do Lago nature trail where you might spot a rare bird in hiding!
