Idéko Concept Store in Almancil

This week, we shine a spotlight on Idéko Concept Store in Almancil. They offer fun, quirky, and colourful decor that exudes personality and uniqueness.

Stephen and Jean Christophe were previously based in the French Island of Guadalupe near the Caribbean. However, they fell in love with the Algarve during their holidays in Portugal, which they had been doing for many years. Despite Guadalupe's beauty, they were drawn to the Algarve for its friendly people, sunny weather reminiscent of Guadalupe, safety, lovely beaches, and delicious food.

Three years ago, they made the decision to move to the Algarve. Jean Christophe explained to me that Stephen, who has always loved design and whose mother owned an antique shop, always had a passion for designing houses and dreamed of having his own shop. After a few months of searching, they found the perfect location on Almancil Main Street, Avenida 5 de Outubro, and opened Idéko. Offering authentic and high-quality European brands from Italy, Spain, and France, some of which are exclusive to their shop.

The shop's colourful and light-hearted ambiance instantly brings a smile to your face, Stephen and Jean Christophe explained they are drawn to this style because it brings happiness.

According to them, "This style makes your life happy living in this grey world. When people come inside and see all the color, it changes your heart and your mind. We are living in a difficult world, and we need the colour, and good people."
